Die Vorderseitenumschrift mit der Abkürzung "K. V. PREUSS." soll den König zu der Bemerkung veranlasst haben: "Ich bin doch nicht der Kammerherr von Preuss". Daher wird dieser Typ "Kammerherrentaler" genannt.
